Stata + Fitbit

A little background: I have had a Fitbit Charge HR since January of 2015 and I've been playing with my steps data, heart rate data, and sleep data thanks to their phone app and website. I'm waiting to have enough data to tell me if the the steps I take influences my sleep quality, to see how my resting heart rate fluctuates over time,  to see how different fitness instructors help me burn calories, and other such Fitbit/health topics.

Just to sample some of the things that I look at, I've included a graph of my daily steps that my Fitbit has tracked. The scatter graph below shows my daily steps taken from mid-January through June 30. The green squares represent steps taken that fall above 10,000 (my daily goal) and the blue triangles represent the number of steps taken whenever I fail to meet my goal.

During that time period, the average steps I took on a daily basis was: 9,207. Yikes. I am just as surprised as you are.  Well,
I'm off for a walk.
